Chilly Wonton Willy Books

Let's change it up a bit! This series of books was a great change to the typical branding/website projects. A poetic, cute, funny children's book that allows kids to learn important life skills and gain knowledge regarding color, math, science, and music.

I had the privilege of working on 4 of the 5 books written. Our amazing incredibly talented illustrator Alison would create the rough sketches and then inks when finalized. My job was the coloring and any edits needed after the final inks.

One of the challenges with these books was making sure they were consistent throughout the different stories. whether it be the color of the soup in Chilly's head, the skin tone in different shaded areas for characters, and the addition of background elements to create depth and wonder for the readers without it being too distracting from the text.
